Anna Lynn Robbins began performing at the age of three when she began dance lessons. She continued dancing throughout childhood and discovered her love for tap dancing. At the age of 16, she won a National Title and first place overall in tap. Although dance is Anna’s first experience in the theatre, she has also found a passion for singing and acting.
Anna is a graduate of University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. Since graduating, Anna has toured twice with Hampstead Stage Company performing Alice in Wonderland (Alice), The Legend of King Arthur (Morgana le Fey), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Lucy/The White Witch) and A Christmas Carol (Cratchit/Ghosts). She has also performed at Seacoast Repertory in South Pacific (Nurse Janet McGregor) and Patrick Dorow Productions in Cats (Jennyanydots). She was most recently seen in Chicago Tap Theatre's production of Changes, a sci-fi tap story show set to the music of David Bowie.
Anna relocated to Chicago, IL in December 2016. She She has served as Company Manager for Hampstead Stage Company since March 2015. She has recently taken over the role as Executive Director with HSC.
Anna taught dance for seven years in Bonita Springs, FL at Angelic Academy of Fine Arts and in Oviedo, FL at University Performing Arts Centre. There, she taught an array of styles for dancers of all levels and ages. She choreographed for Writes of Spring at the Orlando Repertory Theatre. As a final project, Anna choreographed a Gene Kelly inspired tap piece for Echoes, the annual dance concert at UCF and choreographed Sharknami: The Musical? at the Orlando International Fringe Festival with Second Glance Theatre. Anna served as Assistant Choreographer in Dream Big's production of Willy Wonka Jr. in August 2017 and Choreographer in Dream Big’s production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. in August 2018 (Chicago, IL).
Outside of theatre, Anna loves long distance running, baking, creating new recipes, playing with her dog Luella, traveling, and all things pink and sparkly.
